6 + 1 Traits week 2
This week with the 6 + 1 Traits has been interesting. I have been focusing mainly on voice and sentence fluency. I have been studying these two all week. I would love to work on my voice, and especially my sentence fluency. I feel that my voice is sometimes not clear in my writing. I say this because some people say that their not sure about what my theme is in my writing. I sometimes get confused when people say this because I feel my writing is clear. But at other times I can see why they say that. My sentence fluency can use sometime work this I know. Im not saying sentence are not good but they could use more detail. I know what I need to do in order to work on these two things. For the next couple of weeks I will be working on voice and sentence fluency.

ReplyDeleteHere's a great example of a sentence that would have been better had you read through your work before publishing.
Sentence fluency is about using many types of sentences (with phrases, dependent clauses) and connectives (like conjunctions) to create a flow, and to offer your reader some variety. Many people get stuck in a subject-verb-object pattern. Sentence fluency helps you to move away from that.
